“Travelling across the sky”

Two hours excursion that starts with an astronomy lecture in a specially equipped room, followed by a naked eye stars gazing and finally, a celestial bodies telescopic observation.
Includes Hotel-Observatory transfer and Chilean Appetizer.

“Discovering Mother Moon”
Sixty minutes excursion that starts with an astronomy lecture in a specially equipped room, followed by a naked eye stars and moon gazing and finally, the observation of the moon trough the telescopes.
Includes Hotel-Observatory transfer and Chilean Appetizer.
This excursion is only done two days before and two days after full moon.
*Excursions have a maximum capacity of 12 persons.

“The other light: Full moon night hikes”

Two hours hikes in the oasis surroudings to contemplate the magnific desertic geological formations under full moon light.
Only done in full moon nights. If you are interested, please book for it at least five days before.

“Human life and Sun rythm: Solstice and Equinox”
Since ancient times, the position of the sun and other stars has served as a very crucial guide to native peoples. The atacameños organized their sowings, crops and rituals according to the celestial order.
There are several legends and important events associated to solstices and equinox, such as andean´s new year or some fertility rituals. To discover more about this, we invite you to experience our special solstice and equinox excursions.
